Pebble Layer (Drainage)
Place a layer of pebbles at the very bottom of your concrete planter. The pebbles allow water to drain, preventing excess water from accumulating in the soil. This prevents the roots from rotting due to too much water. The height of the pebble layer can be approximately 5-7 cm, but you can increase or decrease this ratio depending on the size of the planter.

Fiber Layer (Water Retention and Air Permeability)
Place a fiber layer over the pebbles. This layer creates a barrier between the soil and the pebbles, facilitating the drainage of excess water from the soil. It also ensures that your plant's roots remain moist by absorbing water in a controlled manner. The fiber also improves soil drainage, allowing the roots to breathe and reducing the risk of root rot. Using a fiber layer eliminates the need for a pot saucer.

Soil Layer
Add quality soil on top of the fiber. This soil provides the nutrients the plant needs. It is important that the soil is suitable for the type of plant.
